We fly home tonight and back to the warmer days that are good for gardening! We have had a wonderful time here in Philly but the weather was a shock! We were freezing. I will be more thankful for our warm Florida weather, after having a dose of what seemed like incredibly cold weather here! (Though most people were probably not that bothered!)
Thanksgiving is tomorrow and we have so much for which to be thankful. Family coming in and friends with which to share it. Olivia is sad to see us go, but excited about Thanksgiving when they will have their small group from their church over with which to play and a feast to share. I hope you are all thankful and and looking forward to a happy day tomorow! Count your blessings!
I am out of the Garden today and had to go to Starbucks to get internet so I will do what I can. We are with our two grandchildren in Philly and they are a delight. The verse that comes to mind today is Proverbs 17:6 "Children's children are a crown to the aged, and parents are the pride of their children."
"And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit…"Romans 5:5 NIV
"The lord's loving kindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail." Lamentations 3:22
"So then neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but God who causes the growth." 1 Corinthians 3:7
"The righteous man will flourish like the palm tree. He will grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still yield fruit in old age; they shall be full of sap and very green." Psalm 92: 12
"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect." Romans 12:2
"But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one." 2 Thessalonians 3:3
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6
